The Carterville Lions held on to win in week one against the Marion Wildcats thanks to a big interception by Aiden Swallers with just four seconds remaining.
Things will not get any easier tonight as the Nashville Hornets come calling in non-conference play.
Nashville is coming off a close game last week, a 28-21 victory over the Carlyle Indians.
