The Carterville Lions are back on the road tonight as they travel to face the Meridian Bobcats in non-conference action. Tipoff is set for 7:45 PM, with pregame coverage beginning at 7:30 PM on NewsRadio WJPF. Dave McKenzie and John Homan will have the call.
Carterville enters the night playing confident basketball. The Lions have shown balance on both ends of the floor, scoring efficiently while continuing to defend and rebound at a high level.
They’ve built a reputation for fast starts and strong finishes—two things that travel well.
Meridian comes in at 3–10 on the season. The Bobcats are searching for consistency. Home court gives them energy, and they’ll be looking to turn the game into a grind early.
For Carterville, the keys are simple. Take care of the ball. Control the paint. Avoid letting Meridian hang around into the second half—especially the third quarter, where momentum can swing fast.
It’s another opportunity for the Lions to sharpen their game and keep building toward the heart of the schedule. We’ll see how focused Carterville is from the opening possession.
Coverage starts at 7:30 PM on NewsRadio WJPF and on our YouTube livestream:
Just a reminder about the livestreams. I know that we have had some issues with some games with the quality of the livestream. In all-most all cases where the audio/video is choppy, it is due to poor internet signals. In those cases, there is not a lot I can do to correct the issue. I do not know how the quality will be until I start the stream in most of the gym where we play.
In any case, just remember you can still listen to the broadcast online for every game at wjpf.com or on the River Radio Sports Central App. Thank you!
