Thank You Seniors

First of all, it's hard to believe that we are in week number eight of the football season already. How did that happen?

Tonight the Carterville HS will celebrate Senior Night as the Lions host the Pinckneyville Panthers in SIRR Conference action.

Even though the Lions playoff chances were dismissed following the loss at Nashville, the Panthers still need a win over the Lions to keep their playoff hopes alive.

I had a chance to talk to Coach Drust about tonights game:

So the Lions DO have a couple of things to play for:

1. Play spoiler for a potential playoff team

2. Win on Senior Night

The Lions will celebrate all of the Seniors that have played fall sports prior to the start of tonight's game. The Lions have sixteen senior football players and four senior cheerleaders that will be recognized tonight. They include:

Dylan Moore - John Webb - Bailey Hicks - Keaton Pestka - Matt Jones - Justin Cross - Nick Kralis - Colin Laczynski - Matt Segner - Hunter Inman - Will McCala - Shane Sizemore - Ian Bogard - Haden Vaughn - Jacob Dozier - Mason Hunsperger

The Senior Cheerleaders include:

AnnEilise Dunderdale - Delaney Howerton - Ali Turner - Bethany Akinduro

Thank you to all of our senior athletes for your hard work and dedication to your school and those you compete with day in and day out.

It's finally going to be more fall-like for football tonight with game time temperatures in the forties.

If you can't make it out to the game, you can join Scott Hudson and myself starting at approximately 6:40 pm for all the pregame festivities on our YouTube live stream.

You can watch here:

Hope to see you there tonight and "Let's Go Lions".
