Lions First Home Game of the Season Tonight

The Carterville Lions open their home schedule tonight with the first of two games this weekend.

Tonight, Anna-Jonesboro will be in town, looking to win their first game of the season. Tomorrow night the Pinckneyville Panthers pay a visit for a conference match-up. Both varsity games are slated to start at 7:45 PM.

The Lions are coming off a tough conference loss on the road at Du Quoin this past Tuesday night 61-46.

This Lions team is going through a tough shooting spell and are struggling to put points on the board.

In the Herrin game last Friday night, the Lions came out and scorched the Tigers for nineteen first quarter points, leading 19-2. Since then, they have only managed to score double-digit points in two of seven quarters, averaging 8.9 points per quarter during that time.

AJ comes into tonight game 0-3 on the season dropping games to Johnston City, Massac County and Nashville. The Wildcats come in to tonight contest average 33.6 points per game. The Lions average 43 points per game.

I'm looking forward to a couple of home here this weekend.

Scott Hudson and I will have the call on NewsRadio WJPF starting with our pre-game show at approximately 7:30 PM. You can also watch our livestream of the game here:
