Keeping Playoff Hopes Alive - Carterville at Nashville

Let the playoffs begin for the Carterville Lions!

Friday night the Lions play the first of three road games in their final four as they travel to Nashville to take on the Hornets.

Carterville is coming off their homecoming game loss last week at the hands of Anna-Jonesboro 28-14.

Coach Dennis Drust finds his Lions needing to win these last four games to have a chance to get in the playoffs.

It’s a position that the Lions have seen before, but it all starts against Nashville.

The Lions are 1-4 for the year. The four team that have beaten the Lions this year have a combined record of 16-5. When you look at the Nashville Hornets, they are 4-1. The four teams they have beaten this year have a combined record of 2-18.

The only team that Nashville has played that has a winning record is the 3-2 AJ Wildcats. Brett Deterings team beat Nashville back in week four 37-14.

But do not take this Hornets team lightly. They are a team with very big size and very good running back and quarterback And they are averaging just over 38 points a game.

I had a chance to talk to Coach D about this game:

Bottom line for the Lions...this IS a MUST-WIN game.

Scott Hudson and I will have the call on NewsRadio WJPF starting with our pre-game show at 6:45 pm.

if you can’t make the teip to Washington County, you can watch the game on out YouTube channel:

Good luck Lions! Lets win this thing.
