From Carterville To The Dawg House: Caden Hawkins Signs with SIU

I had the chance to sit down with a kid I’ve watched grow up on the court—Caden Hawkins. From his days dropping dimes and draining threes at Carterville High School to making noise at John A. Logan College, Caden’s been a baller through and through. Now, he’s taking the next big step—suiting up for SIU. Yeah, the Dawgs just got themselves a hometown hooper with grit, heart, and a smooth jumper.

In this video, Caden and I spend a few brief moments discussing what it means to represent Southern Illinois, and how he plans to make his mark at the next level.
