Football season is done in Illinois after the championship games this weekend. However, post-season honors were announced and the Carterville Lions were well represented.
Also, basketball season tipped off this week for the Lions.
Varsity basketball gets underway starting on Monday as the Lions will open the Trico Tourney when the face the Steeleville Warriors.
