Mother Nature wins again.
The Carterville Lions game that was scheduled for tonight against the Pinckneyville Panthers has been cancelled and will not be rescheduled.
This sets up the regular season's final game coming up Friday when the Lions head to Murphysboro to face the Red Devils in SIRR Conference play.
The Lions have an opportunity to play spoiler in the SIRR Conference Ohio Division. Murphysboro and Herrin are tied atop the standings with conference records of 6-1. Herrin will face Harrisburg on Thursday night.
